Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex in Moundsville features one of the largest and most famous of the Adena burial mounds. Visitors learn about the mound-builders and their well- organized societies in the Delf Norona Museum. Its research center provides protection, conservation and interpretation for West Virginia’s extensive archaeological collections.
