Indulge in a tasty hands-on program at the Schrader Center in Oglebay.

First, make rice-crispy treats and use food coloring to make them look like watermelon slices. While they’re cooling, we’ll shake, shake, shake up some ice cream-in-a-bag.  Learn the science behind the process as you choose your flavoring, then enjoy both delicious treats!

Available 2:2:45pm Mondays, June 7 – August 16. (Does not meet July 5.)
All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Explore nature as a family…

Replace your child’s screen time with green time! Our family nature programs bring families together for quality time learning about nature. So, get outside and explore! Activities ignite children’s interests in science and nature. Children socialize with other kids outside of a traditional classroom setting. They have a lot of fun, too. And parents meet and connect with other parents. Most of all, our programs instill a lifelong appreciation and respect for the natural world.

More about the Schrader Center:
