Enjoy Classical Music in the Historic Stifel Mansion.

Enjoy an evening of classical music with pianist Gerald Lee in one of Wheeling’s grand, historic properties.

Lee, acclaimed pianist and professor of piano at West Liberty University, will play a masterwork sonata by Franz Schubert, a suite of dances by Argentine composer, Alberto Ginastera, and a suite of colorful pieces by Impressionistic composer, Claude Debussy, depicting such topics as Asian pagodas, the exotic sounds of night in the Spanish city of Granada, as well as beautiful gardens under the fall of rain.

The 100-year-old Edemar Mansion (now known as the Stifel Fine Arts Center) is the former home of one of Wheeling’s most prominent families and is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

While enjoying the concert, marvel at the stained glass windows, grand central staircase, marble floors and the majestic fireplace in the formal living room. During warm weather, stroll through the gardens. You can also view the art on display in the gallery.
