Class Descriptions

Healthy Living Seminar – Friday, January 25 from 7-8:30 p.m.

From 7-7:30 p.m., join Sarah Schimmel, a dōTERRA wellness advocate, for a 30-minute workshop where you’ll create your own wellness blend. From 7:30- 8 p.m., join Tya Paulus, the West Spa’s lead massage therapist, as she educates you on the importance of massage in your self-care plan. From 8-8:30 p.m., take part in a 30-minute meditation where you’ll increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and improve sleep and mindfulness through visualization, breath and movement.

Vinyasa Yoga – Saturday, January 26 from 9-10 a.m.

This one-hour Vinyasa Yoga Flow class  features dynamic breath-focused practices that utilize sun salutations to link intelligently sequenced poses into a continuously flowing organic whole. The Vinyasa experience sustains clarity of focus and builds inner heat as it develops strength and flexibility and will improve balance and endurance. Various modifications and use of props are introduced and emphasized.

Historical Walk – Saturday, January 26 from 1-2 p.m.

Enjoy a scenic walk with Wheeling native Sarah Wood. Bundle up for this beautiful view of some of Oglebay’s most beautiful sights. Sarah will lead you through guided meditation and breathing exercises that will leave you feeling calm, grounded, and at peace. Scenic Walk is weather permitting. Weather backup consists of a rejuvenating Hatha Yoga class in Oglebay’s Movement Studio. This one-hour class is acceptable for all skill levels and will incorporate movement and breath work to break up any stagnant or tight areas in the body. This rejuvenating class will leave you feeling refreshed and renewed.

T’ai Chi – Saturday, January 26 from 4-4:45 p.m.

Exercise your body, mind, and spirit with a series of movements and postures performed very slowly. Qigong is the practice of aligning the breath with a stationary, coordinated, slow repetition of fluid movements in a calm, mindful state. No prior experience needed.
