Every Third Friday
August 19, 2022 - October 21, 2022

Mark your calendars “busy” for lunch on the third Friday of the month throughout the summer.

Wheeling Heritage, in partnership with The Health Plan, is hosting Lunchtime Live! at Market Plaza. This free concert series is intended to engage the downtown community during the midday break.

The concerts will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. July 15, Aug. 19, Sept. 16, and Oct. 21.
Attendees are encouraged to visit a nearby restaurant and get a lunch to go, then head to the Market Plaza for live music. Restaurants such as Tito’s Sloppy Doggs, The Bridge Tavern & Grill and Taqueria 304, Panda Chinese Kitchen, along with visiting food trucks will offer lunch options on concert dates, although call ahead-orders are recommended. Mmm…Popcorn and Lucky Candies 2 will also be offering a variety of snacks and sweets to choose from.
Musicians for the series include local artists who perform a variety of music genres:
Friday, July 15: Melody Rae is an alternative singer-songwriter inspired by indie-pop, folk, and americana artists alike, who delivers her mix of songs, bouyant and maudlin, as if they were heartfelt confessions with lyrics that are sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet.
Friday, Aug. 19: Jason Treuman’s been performing all throughout the country and takes his solo acoustic act anywhere and everywhere. Playing hits from the 50s to today, it’s a show that has something for everyone and shouldn’t be missed!
Friday, Sept. 16: Tucker Riggleman currently fronts twang-rock outfit Tucker Riggleman & The Cheap Dates. Sometimes punk, often country-leaning, and always rock and roll in spirit, Riggleman’s catalog of songs pull from an eclectic list of influences while maintaining a voice all his own.
Friday, Oct. 21: Chelsey Keding has performed everything from opera and musical theatre, to singing in a rock band and gospel choir. Chelsey will perform a variety of familiar songs for the crowd at Lunchtime Live!
This free concert series is sponsored by The Health Plan, one of the largest locally managed care organizations in West Virginia.
