About the Movie

Nobody spreads Christmas cheer quite like Buddy the Elf!

Frequently voted onto lists of “best ever” Christmas films, “Elf” is an uproarious, heartwarming family classic.

Will Ferrell stars as Buddy, a human adopted by elves, who lives at the North Pole. Raised to believe he’s just an oversized elf, Buddy eventually discovers his true identity. Then, he embarks on a quest through the seven levels of the Candy Cane Forest, past the sea of twirly-swirly gum drops and into the Lincoln Tunnel in pursuit of his biological father in New York City.

Buddy and his unbridled joy remind us, “There’s room for everybody on the Nice List.”

So don’t be a cotton-headed ninny muggings! Rediscover your inner elf, and head to Towngate for this Christmas classic.

You Can Have Dinner, too!

Moviegoers have the option to have dinner in Towngate’s social room prior to the screening. Park once and enjoy twice the fun!

Dinners will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m. before each film. After dinner, head upstairs for the movie at 7:30 p.m. The cost for dinner is $30 and includes your seat for the movie, all food, coffee, tea, water and a box of popcorn to enjoy during the film. Beer and wine are available for purchase.

The menu for the evening includes cabbage rolls OR pork loin (select one), mashed red potatoes, green beans, pasta salad, and almond cake.

You must make reservations for dinner by 2pm Monday prior to the screening. You don’t need to make reservations for the film.

Don’t delay. Space is limited.

Register for pre-screening dinner online or call 304-242-7700.

Why Go To the Movie Theater?

Get off the couch! Stop binge watching by yourself. Hollywood movies are meant to be seen with others, in the movie theater, on the BIG screen. The actors are figuratively and literally larger than life! Get together with other movie lovers. Engage in thought-provoking conversation. You will learn more about the art and history of cinema, too.
