The Early Days

Al Kage

Al was the original owner of the 19th Hole Bar and Restaurant.

Many years before the bar opened, Al and his buddies used to travel outside of Wheeling to cure their cravings for wings. After some discussion, they decided it was time for the city to have a quality wing place of its own. In late 1998, the 19th Hole was born!

Located in what looked to be a gray garage, he offered customers 12 flavors of chicken wings, finger foods, 6 big screen televisions, pool, video and lottery games, complemented by a warm inviting atmosphere.

2012-today

Angie Szalay

Manager of the bar from 1999-2012. She bought the bar in December of 2012 after the devestating passing of her dear friend and incredible business man, Al. As the sayng goes “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it”. Angie has only made subtle changes over the years, the bar now offers 18 base wing flavors and 12 TVs, but the warm welcoming atmosphere, inviting bar patrons and staff, and crispy-fried, Fresh Jumbo Wings remain the same.
