Coleman’s Fish Market was honored by Gourmet Magazine as one of West Virginia’s most popular eating establishments. As quoted in the June 2001 issue… FILLET UP “A visit to the Mountain State leads to a surprising discovery: The Country’s best fish sandwich (tartar sauce not included).” Coleman’s was featured in the book Roadfood as “one of the best restaurants coast to coast.”
The standard fish sandwich was as wonderful as I remember from 30 plus years ago. The very mild fish was fried to perfection and was piled between two slices of plain white bread.
