Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex in Moundsville features one of the largest and most famous of the Adena burial mounds. Visitors learn about the mound-builders and their well-organized societies in the Delf Norona Museum. Its research center provides protection, conservation and interpretation for West Virginia’s extensive archaeological collections.

This is really a great piece of history and a must see if you are in the area. It is very well done and growing, the displays are really nice, loved the dolls and marbles. They were quite unexpected.
