It’s been an eventful year for Wheeling Gateway Visitors & Heritage Center, bringing the project closer to opening as Wheeling’s front door.

 

From the demolition of the former Wheeling Inn, which reopened views of the historic Wheeling Suspension Bridge, to community-led planning of a state-of-the-art heritage attraction, advancing design work, and major technical milestones behind the scenes, 2025 marked significant progress for this once-in-a-generation project.
