A Winter Wonderland for the Whole Family

 

For 34 years Oglebay’s Festival of Lights has been one of the best holiday experiences found anywhere in the United States. The secret to its success is an ever-changing array of lights and holiday activities.

 

The park staff works tirelessly all year to make sure the event brings something new each season. This year’s dazzling light show covers more than 300 acres over a six-mile-drive through Oglebay Park.

 

Technology continues to drive the new light exhibits this year. The festival will once again offer an expanded holographic experience using 3D glasses, cutely called “3D Sleigh Bans”. The park has also expanded the RGB light experience, these LEDs can produce up to 16 million hues of light, delivering a lifelike experience to many of Oglebay’s favorite holiday displays.

 

For a $25 donation, guests will receive a Winter Festival of Lights season pass and a four-pack of 3D Sleigh Bans, plus more than $25 in money-saving coupons redeemable at various attractions throughout Oglebay Park.

 

The addition of The Frosted Hilltop is sure to pique the interest of the kiddos. It is open daily with expanded weekend hours and features the Snowflake Express Train Ride which will be a special treat for the little ones. The Frosty Wagon Ride is a 20-minute open-air wagon fit for the whole family, then head over for a visit with the Magical Snowman, and enjoy food and adult beverages at the Ice Lounge Bistro.
